My Internet Marketing Strategy

I was never really interested in having a web site in the early 2000's. To me it seemed like a electronic brochure and due to the nature of my business I wouldn't be selling anything on a website.  So, having a website was never a priority, mostly because I never saw what it would do for my business.

Fast forward to 2008 and I have started using search engines to answer just about every question I have, I'm buying things from Amazon and other online retailers and  using Google to find local products and services.  At this point I decide having a web presence would be a good thing., because If I'm using the web to find and buy stuff I'm certain everyone else in the world is.

So the first thing I do is buy a domain  - and a hosting service.  In typical fashion I shop around for the most value.

What I didn't realize is that shopping for the service was the easy part.  Now I had to build a site.  The service I went with and my lack of know how combined to produce an ugly not very productive site.

So, I had someone build my site and it looks awesome!  Occasionally I would search Google for myself.  There I was on the 4th page - not so awesome.  So I start shopping around for SEO services and trying to learn some on my own.  With what I learned from my own research and talking with SEO providers I developed my internet marketing strategy.

My strategy was based on using several types of media - print, audio & video.

Now, I'm happy to say that I'm found on the first page of Google for several keyword searches.

I am participating in a blogger campaign by Bucks2Blog  for an seo company and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own.
